Climate Change

1- To achieve the IMO greenhouse gas ambitions and follow it’s pathway of CO2 reductions:

  • to reduce CO2 emissions as an average by at least 40% by 2030, compared to 2008.
  • to reduce total annual GHG emissions by at least 50% by 2050, compared to 2008.

2 – To support the global energy transition as defined by the IMO.

3 – To assist in increasing transparency and elevating standards in the ship recycling industry in accordance with the Hong Kong convention and applicable IMO & EU guidelines.
