At this moment we are seeking to employ:

 

1. Marine Superintendents for the Dry and Tankers divisions who will

  • liaise with the Master on a wide range of issues to ensure the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of each fleet
  • monitor daily operations of vessels such as stowage plans, loading condition, cargo matters, mooring arrangement, navigational matters and hold/tank preparation
  • regularly attend vessels for sailing visits, audits, 3rd party inspections and dry docks
  • prepare well-documented replies in reaction to 3rd party inspections and audits
  • keep abreast of changes in international rules and regulations and vetting requirements
  • train crew in safe navigation and efficient operation during vessel attendance
  • interview prospective officers
  • actively participate in fleet meetings

The ideal candidate:

  • holds a Captain Class A or B diploma
  • has a minimum of two years’ experience as a Master or four years as a C/O
  • has an excellent command of the English language
  • possesses strong communication, negotiation and organization skills
  • is computer literate, flexible and resilient

 

2. a Forwarding Officer to join the Forwarding Department where they will be responsible for

  • coordinating the forwarding of major supplies to vessels in the most efficient and cost-effective way
  • monitoring vessels’ schedules and liaising with departments, vessels and Agents worldwide to consolidate shipments
  • providing dispatch instructions and documentation for import/export formalities
  • tracking shipments until they are safely on board
  • negotiating prices and checking and approving invoices

The ideal candidate:

  • holds a University degree in Logistics, Transport or a related field
  • is fluent in English and Greek
  • possesses excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills
  • has a keen eye for detail
  • can work under pressure, and
  • is IT literate

 

3. an Assistant for the legal department whose tasks will include:

Drafting and proofreading legal and corporate documents, assisting with claims, monitoring and ensuring compliance with KYC and GDPR requirements as well as a range of administrative duties such as filing, taking telephone messages, scheduling meetings and checking invoices.

The ideal candidate:

  • holds a University degree
  • has several years’ experience as a paralegal or assistant in a legal/claims department of a Ship Management company or P&I Club
  • is fluent in Greek and English
  • is able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • is highly organized with a keen eye for detail
  • possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

 

Tests may form part of the selection procedure.
