At this moment we are seeking to employ

 

1. a qualified Junior Lawyer who will assist the company’s legal team with a wide range of tasks such as drafting/proofreading legal documents, corporate matters, claims, banking compliance, legal regulatory compliance as well as various administrative duties.

The ideal candidate:

  • holds a degree in Law or is a paralegal
  • has several years’ experience in a Law firm, a P&I Club or a Legal/Claims department of a Ship Management company
  • is fluent in Greek and English
  • is able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • has a keen eye for detail and good analytical skills
  • possesses good communication and interpersonal skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a Law graduate who is not interested in pursuing a career as a practicing lawyer, but wishes to use their knowledge and skills in a different setting.

 

2. an IT Administrator who will

  • maintain and monitor all procedures and processes related to Cyber Security
  • control all IT-related purchasing activities: take offers, compare prices, place orders and keep track of the entire process
  • provide assistance on issues related to the company’s ERP (help desk support and troubleshooting)
  • provide support to ensure the general smooth operation of the department

The ideal candidate

  • holds a degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • is fluent in English
  • possesses excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • is organized with a sharp eye for detail
  • is a keen team player who can multi-task in a dynamic environment

One or two years’ work experience in a similar position with a Shipping or Telecommunications company is considered an advantage.

 

3. a Superintendent Engineer who will

  • monitor vessels’ operations, performance and maintenance
  • attend class inspections, dry dockings & repairs and special projects

The ideal candidate:

  • holds an MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • is fluent in English
  • has strong communication & IT skills
  • has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work, and
  • enjoys being part of a dynamic team

 

4. a Marine Superintendent for the Tanker division. The new recruit will

  • liaise with the Master on a wide range of issues to ensure the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of each fleet
  • monitor daily operations of vessels
  • regularly attend vessels for sailing visits, audits, 3rd party inspections and dry docks
  • prepare well-documented replies in reaction to 3rd party inspections and audits
  • keep abreast of changes in international rules and regulations and vetting requirements
  • train crew in safe navigation and efficient operation during vessel attendance
  • interview prospective officers

The ideal candidate:

  • holds a Captain Class A or B diploma
  • has a minimum of two years’ experience as a Master or four years as a C/O
  • has an excellent command of the English language
  • possesses strong communication, negotiation and organization skills
  • is computer literate

 

Tests may form part of the selection procedure.
