At this moment we are seeking to employ

 

1. a Tanker/Dry Cargo Operator who will:

  • be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a number of vessels and closely monitor their performance
  • provide assistance and support to the vessel and the Master as/when required
  • liaise with all parties involved to ensure smooth operation
  • promote inter-departmental flow of information and cooperation

The ideal candidate:

  • has a University Degree in Maritime Studies or a Captain Class B Certificate
  • has a few years’ experience in a similar position
  • is fluent in Greek and English
  • has excellent communication and time management skills, and
  • enjoys being part of a dynamic team

 

2. a Superintendent Engineer who will:

  • monitor vessels’ operations, performance and maintenance
  • attend class inspections, dry dockings & repairs and special projects

The ideal candidate:

  • holds an MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • has several years’ experience in a similar position
  • is fluent in English
  • has strong communication & IT skills
  • has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work, and
  • enjoys being part of a dynamic team

 

3. a Junior Superintendent Engineer who will:

  • provide assistance to Superintendent Engineers
  • monitor vessels’ operations, performance and maintenance
  • attend class inspections, dry dockings & repairs and special projects

The ideal candidate:

  • holds an MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • is fluent in English
  • has strong communication & IT skills
  • has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work, and
  • enjoys being part of a dynamic team

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is interested in pursuing a career as Superintendent Engineer but does not yet have the required experience, as extensive training will be provided.

 

4. an Administrative Assistant for Marine Operations who will:

  • provide administrative support to Operators and Marine Superintendents
  • distribute and file emails
  • update the Operations Application in Danaos
  • follow up on vessels’ forms/certificates
  • order paint/charts etc.

The ideal candidate:

  • possesses excellent communication and time management skills
  • is fluent in English and Greek
  • has prior working experience with Danaos
  • is flexible and able to work under pressure
  • has an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
  • can work independently, but also enjoys being part of a small team

Previous experience in a similar position is considered an advantage.

 

Tests may form part of the selection procedure.
